Would you like to be part of a team that is committed to making a difference to the lives of deaf children and young people with additional needs?
The Royal School for Deaf Children Margate is a great place to work. We are very supportive of our staff and offer training and development opportunities. The School environment is inclusive and positive.
We are an Investor in People and a Two Tick disability employer, an accreditation awarded by Jobcentre Plus to employers who employ and develop the abilities of disabled people.
Working with us
The John Townsend Trust provides education and care for young deaf people with additional needs including learning and communication difficulties. We have an excellent reputation, high standards and are passionate about working with our young people.
We currently have almost 500 staff working in various roles across the organisation including Education, Care Work, Supported Living, Nursing, Finance, Farming, HR, Facilities, Admin, Charity Shop, Retail and Management and we are a large local employer.
As an employer we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome applications from all groups and communities. We expect all staff to be committed to our Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection policies and procedures. Those positions working with our young people are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check, references, evidence of qualifications and a work history which can be fully checked.
We employ motivated staff who enjoy a challenge and who really care about their work making a difference to the lives of our young people. In return we offer a competitive salary and holiday benefit, a company pension scheme and opportunities to grow and develop along with all the support you would expect from working for an Investor in People recognised organisation.
